The leakage of hydraulic joints during the installation of the hydraulic system is difficult to avoid. Dalan Hydraulics hereby reminds you that in the subsequent inspection or repair and replacement, you should pay attention to the following 10 points, otherwise it may cause unpredictable serious consequences.
1. Do not check for leaks by hand.
Hydraulic oil temperatures often reach 150 ° C or higher, which can quickly cause severe burns.
2. Do not attempt to solve the leak problem simply by tightening the nut.
In a few cases, when the liquid leaks due to the loosening of the nut, excessive tightening will damage the integrity of the joint and is one of the common causes of joint leakage.
3. Do not press the inspection system.
Before performing inspections, be sure to relieve pressure on the system, even if the liquid drops slowly. Relieving the pressure minimizes the risk of sudden mechanical oil injection during mechanical inspection.
4. Do not replace different types of connectors to save time or cost.
Be sure to replace the connector of the exact same type and feel free to find a similar connector replacement, which is one of the causes of the failure.
5. Don't always suspect connectors.
The drip point may not be the leak point, the liquid dripping occurs at the lowest point, although the liquid may drip at the joint position, the actual leak point may be elsewhere.
6. Do not reuse O-rings.
When reassembling reusable joints, the O-rings should be replaced in time, and the O-rings are prone to cracks, which may damage the sealing performance of the system during repeated assembly.
7. Don't forget to protect the open system when repairing leaks.
When repairing a leak, if the removed joint is thrown to the ground and then reinstalled, contaminants will be carried into the hydraulic system, which will shorten the life of the equipment.
8. When replacing or reinstalling the connector, do not forget to clean the connector.
This helps prevent dirt and metal burrs from entering the hydraulic system, which can damage expensive hydraulic components.
9, no open fire.
All open flames should be kept away from leaks, including lit cigarettes, lighting with a lighter and welding nearby.
10. Don't ignore any small problems, even a slight leak may be a sign of a more serious hydraulic system problem.
