High-pressure accumulators are mainly used to balance line oil pressure fluctuations.
Eg: When most of the system's oil motives are quickly turned on (for example, when the steam turbine starts to rush, two medium pressure regulating doors are opened at the same time, or the valve is switched at 2900 rpm, and 6 high-profile doors are simultaneously opened), the system oil pressure must drop rapidly. At this point, the oil pump can't make a response. The accumulator is not only close to the oil motive in design, but also can replenish the system more quickly than the oil pump, avoiding the protection action and stopping the system when the system oil pressure drops to 9.7MPA.
Therefore, the importance of the accumulator plays an important role in the high pressure EH oil hydraulic system.
The fluid is virtually incompressible and cannot store energy, so the hydraulic accumulator uses gas (nitrogen) compressibility to store the fluid.
The accumulator is essentially a chamber that stores a pressurized fluid that is stored by incompressible fluid energy by the compressibility of the gas for useful work.
The fluid described above is coupled to the hydraulic circuit. When the system pressure increases, the fluid compresses the gas and enters the accumulator; as the system pressure decreases, the compressed gas expands and forces the fluid back to the hydraulic circuit.
